NLR India Foundation has been supporting youths for skill development through various vocational training courses in different states of India. The prime focus is on the youth affected with leprosy, their dependents, and persons with disability. The following are the most preferred vocational training courses attended by large number of youth in different states: Diesel mechanism, Motor mechanic, Tailoring, Beautician, Motor driving, Electrician, Painting & Decoration.

NLR India Foundation has been successful in linking the youth to these training centers. NLRIF got support from other training partners too for skill development into diesel mechanism, motor mechanic, motor driving, hotel Management etc.
It is worth mentioning that majority of the youth trained from NLR India Foundation have been successfully employed with rewarding benefits.

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras is an excellent platform and have been effective for providing trainings to the neediest youth of the society. The vocational trainings have been proved to be very effective in linking the youth to employment.
NLR India Foundation considers that by supporting youth & affected persons to develop new skills, by giving them access to relevant vocational training and connecting them with employers/market, we enable them to take control of their own careers and lives, and to help their families break out of the cycle of poverty and ultimately bringing them to join mainstream.
So far, more than 100 youth have been trained in skills and placed in different organization.
Dress designing project at Jagat Mata Colony, Tilak Nagar in Delhi where Six women are getting trained. Eighteen women at Nirmala colony, Ranchi are being part of adult literacy programme & later they will be getting trained in producing handicraft.
