How We Work
NLR India Foundation (NLRIF), New Delhi is an ISO 9001:2015 certified, Non-Profit, Non-religious, Non-Government Organization. NLRIF works for persons and families affected by Leprosy, other Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) and persons with Disabilities. The Foundation has a track record of serving the Leprosy cause since the year 1999. NLRIF is involved in supporting the National Leprosy Eradication Programme (NLEP), Central Leprosy Division (Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India). Currently, NLRIF is working in 129 districts of 7 states of the country – Bihar, Delhi, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal. With its noble vision and Leprosy oriented efforts spread across a time period of two decades, NLRIF supports the NLEP in achieving Zero Transmission, Zero Disability and Zero Exclusion. NLRIF is currently involved in five different thematic areas, namely, Health, Education, Skill development, Livelihood & Rights and Entitlements. NLRIF has a dedicated cadre of Leprosy Program Advisors and Community based Rehabilitation Co-ordinators.
