Health Camp

People affected by leprosy have little access to primary health care services due to stigma, illiteracy, and poverty. To increase the access to health services and provide essential services at their doorsteps medical camps are arranged in 6 leprosy colonies of Delhi.

Health camps are organized in the premises of leprosy colony to make primary health services accessible to people affected by leprosy. These camps are an excellent example of Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) as all the medicines and manpower (doctors and paramedics) are provided by the state government while NLR India Foundation coordinates and provides the logistical support.

Thousands of patients benefited from such camps organized by NLR India Foundation.
